Next year!

Next year is going to be a exciting year for me because I will be a year 6 with my bestie in the same class as me, I will be one of the seniors.  Then the year after that I will be going to high school.  I am looking forward to next year with Mr Herring also with some of my friends that were not in my class this year because the two classes Room 8 and Room 7 have been a mix of year 5 and 6 so I will be with some of my friends and some year 5's I am exicted about next year and will hopefully be still updating the blog still all next year!   Oh and over the holidays if I don't go away somewhere!

End of year

It is nearly the end of the year our teacher is getting our reports done and we have had to take some report photos it is going to be the last weeks of being a year 5 then i will be one of the big seniors next year and then i will be off to high school the year after that i am looking forward to next year when i will be in with some of my friends that were in room 8 this year and i am in room 7 this is the report pic I took!

Jibboo

DEVON AND I AM MAKING A LITTLE JIBBOO STALL DOING BUSKING DANCING  BUT I  AM ALSO THE BANK MANAGE SO I ALSO HAVE TO LOOK AFTER THE BANK AT THE SAME TIME AND I HAVE TWO NEW ASGINSENTS  WHO CAN FILL IN FOR ME IF I REALLY WANT THEM TO AND THEY HAVE TO GET ME THINGS AND DO STUFF FOR ME BUT I PAY THEM MORE THAN THEY GOT FOR DOING BANK TELLERS ON THE BANK!  DEVON WILL BE ON THE STALL AT ALL TIMES SO BE FREE TO COME DOWN  AND HAVE A LOOK AT IT AND SOMEONE KIND ENOUGH MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME SNIDGES So that is can buy some things jibboo is fun only Room 7 and Room 8 do jibboo but it would be fun if the whole school did it so that we could go to more classrooms other than Room 7 and Room 8 thanks for listening be free to browse my blog other times for I will be doing lots of new posts!

When the year 6's were on camp!

Last week the year 6's went on camp so all the year 5's went into Room 8 I am a year 5 so I went to Room 8 were I seen what my class will be next year and a couple of year 5's next year.  I am looking forward to next year.  In Room 8 we made some animations and some maths also we did our year 6 speeches and names we have to do speeches for the year six's because they are leaving ext year and we share the speeches to the whole school.  We also do there names in in bubble writing and do some colour in the names and patterns I ma doing two people because there was not enough people to do others so some people had to double up we had fun with Mrs Wilcox and I am sure the year 6's had great fun at camp!

pet day!

PET DAY THIS YEAR WAS HEAPS OF FUN I TOOK A LAMB THIS YEAR IT IS A RAM AND IT'S NAME IS PLANKTIN I WON A CAKE THAT WAS HOLWEEN STYLE I CAME FIRST IN MY MUFFINS I BAKED AND I CAME SECOND IN THE LAMB DRINKING RACE AND THIRD IN QUESTIONS ABOUT MY PET SO I HAD A FUN DAY LOOKING AFTER THE LAMB AND EATING LOTS OF LOLLIES GETTING ON A SUGAR HIGH AND HAVING A BIG BURGER FOR LUNCH!  I LIKED THE THE PERFORMANCES THAT THEY HAD AND THE PRIZE GIVING PET DAY IS LOTS OF FUN AND NEXT YEAR WILL BE MY LAST YEAR OF PET DAY BECAUSE 2013 I WILL BE AT HIGH SCHOOL I ONLY HAVE NEXT YEAR AT PRIMARY SCHOOL BUT I KNOW I WILL HAVE JUST AS MUCH FUN AT HIGH SCHOOL AS AT PRIMARY SCHOOL JUST HARDER WORK:)

Moral painting

Yay I got into Doing the moral art this means I will be out of class lots doing a moral it is going to be so fun I was chosen to do it which mrs Wilcox said that means we are some of the best artist in the school which is good to hear it is going to be lots of fun but hard work!

My letter about dogs are better than cats!

This week we have had Mrs Wilcox and we have been working on letters to somebody. I am doing my one to my friend Devon. The whole class has to do it on dogs are better than cats or cats are better than dogs and this is my one!

Dear Devon,

I strongly believe that dogs are better than cats and these are some of my reasons.

Cats are very scratchy,  they scratch you all the time when they get stroppy and grumpy.

Dogs can be well behaved when told but cats are not that good at commands!

Cats eat mice which is disturbing for some people because mice can be used as pets and are fluffy and cute.

Dogs can be used for things like duck shooting, snow dogs and also guide dogs but cats don't seem to do jobs like that.

One thing I personally hate with cats is they cough up slimey, icky, stickey hair balls.

Dogs can be taken for walks and run but cats get dragged along the ground.

So therefore, dogs  are better pets than cats and next time you walk into the pet store don't go to the cats go straight to the dogs!

School holidays over :(

Back to school on tuesday so sad but I am looking forward to going back to school sort of because I want to find out what our new Inquiry is for the term and to see the new classroom because our classroom has been done up!!!!

Holidays are here!

Holidays are here yay no more school for 2 weeks and a day I can finally relax and have some fun in the sun not that I don't have fun at school!

Today we had the big morning out where some people hiked and some people biked I hiked we did it at Daffiadol bay we had lots of fun at sept I had a sore muscle but I still had fun we had stops some times and ate some food and then went on we got back to school at 12.30 just in time for lunch it was great fun!!! 

Holidays coming up!

This is the last week of school then it is the holidays 2 weeks this is the last thing of holidays and then it is the christmas holidays which go for a long time that means no more school when it is the christmas hoildays and that means presents and a cozy christmas day I love christmas but it is not up to the christmas holidays yet!!!

Pet day is coming up I normally take my dog chip but this time I am taking my friend Kaitlyn's pet lamb!!

Moving in day!

Today we have moved our classroom to the staff room because our class room is getting new carpet plus new wall paper. Shelves are getting taken out and shelves getting put in and lots of other stuff.   It is a small space so we are are all squashed up,  but it is very cosy and warm in there. There is lots of stuff from our room that is in there.  The bad things are that the pies are in there and the sausages on thursdays so they make you hungry!   It is also annoying because the office is right there so we have to be really QUIET but it will be fun. We are in there for 2 weeks!

Rhythm Drums

Hi  today our whole school went to the Myross Bush hall to join with Rhythm Interactive and we each got our own African Style hand drum to play along with.  It is when the people take you through a  rhythm with the drums and you play along it is lots of fun!  :)

Lego animation

This term we have been doing Lego animations we have finished ours well my group the people in my group are Olivia, Kirsten and me when we get a chance we will download our little movie onto IMovie and will add sounds and some things to make it more real! On Monday I went to Enrich we made videos and our one was funny. In my group I had oscar, Tim and Sophie we made our one about Mark todd the horse rider because Sophie loves Mark Todd so we made it about mark Todd I was the horse and Sophie was mark Todd when Sophie was riding me I fell over it was funny!

My flash cards!

Hi I have been practicing my flash cards. They have times tables and division. I went to the teacher to get tested and I passed, I am now on different flash cards and I am praticing them so that I am fast and know them well!

Snow fall!

This is a little poem on the snow fall we have just had. There is heaps of snow everywhere and there is supposed to be more coming. It's fun to play in.  We are lucky our school is not closed but we had to drive to school very slowly because otherwise we would go for a bit of a slide!

Snowflakes  land  on  my  nose  and  tickles  my  nose. 
Now the snow just won't stop falling.
Over the snow I  go every footstep is crunch crunch.

Wet and soggy you get when you walk outside and have a snow fight snowflakes everywhere so it is melting everywhere.

My lego town

We have finished our saftey towns and now are making lego towns well lego people are going to be living in them and we are going to make a short movie with the towns and we get to choose what happens in the movie our groups one is going to be weaird!

School Again

We are now back at school and it is the second day back and I am at home sick what a way to start school!

Yay It's the holidays!

Yay as you may know it is school holidays I can finally relax!

Safety town

In school we have been making little towns we are making them as safe as we can, we are making these little towns because in school we have been learning about hazards and how to stop them from happening. The reason they have got us doing these towns is because we are making them safer for the little Lego men that are going to be living in our little towns we are putting in everything that is in a normal town and making all the things safer. My group are Sophie, Jonty and Thomas we are doing the fire station and some houses we are doing a round about and we are making it safer for the cars to get round! I think the towns will be pretty safe by the time we are finished and the Lego men will definitely want to live in the safe little towns. 

The Harold giraffe bus!

Hello this post is all about the Harold bus! At school we have been in the Harold bus!  We had lots of fun in the bus, you learn all kinds of things.  There is this plastic doll that comes out of the wall and has half of it's body is body parts under the skin and  the body parts light up!  This bus was really cool it has a t.v on the wall and a brain that talks and lights up when it talks, the walls are carpeted and the ground so it is warm and cosy inside! There is a giraffe that is in the wall and lives there, his name is Harold and he is awesome!  When the lady turns the lights off she turns something awesome on.  She turns lots of little lights on the roof it covers the whole roof and looks like stars.  This bus is very cool and if you have been in it you would know!  In the bus we learnt how we are all different and that's ok. Also we have different fingerprints and eye prints, this is very cool to know that there is nobody else like us!!!!!

Jibboo

Hi in class we have just starting doing jibboo. We have our own jobs, my job is bank manager and my weekly pay is 30 snidges.  Our money is called snidges.  It is fun it.  Only rooms 8 and 7 doing it but it would be so cool if we got the whole school doing it!

Hello i have been thinking over the last week and i was thinking that i would like to start learning piano but first you have to go through recorder and then you can do it but i also want to do vilon but they say that if you do piano first it makes it easier to do other music items!!!!!

Hi it is now autumn at school our whole class raked up a huge pile of leaves and had a big leave fight and mr menlove was hiding in the pile of leaves and jumped out because we left the pile there and went to class and then when we were in the classroom he hid in there and we stood by it and he jumped out and gave us all a fright and he tackled so people onto the ground in the pile of leaves it was funny then at the end everybody had leaves all through there head and on their clothes lol!
